Mobile Banking and Mobile Deposit

Mobile Banking

Manage your accounts anytime, anywhere with William Penn Mobile Banking.    You’ll now enjoy safe and convenient access to your accounts 24/7 from the convenience of your smart phone.    Features include:

  • Check your balances - Provides current and available balances. 
  • Account Activity - Allows you to access current and previous statements, as well as any recent transactions.
  • Transfer Funds - Move money between any of your eligible William Penn Bank accounts.
  • Pay Bills – Use our FREE bill pay service to pay bills from your smart phone.  
  • Receive account alerts.
  • Locate the nearest branch or surcharge-free ATM.

Text Banking

To use the text banking feature, you must enroll in mobile banking through Online Banking and register your mobile phone number.

Text any of the following commands to the number 48179 for William Penn Bank alerts:

  • BAL- Check your current balances
  • Hist + Account Nickname – Latest transaction history
  • Branch + Street or Zip- Find closest William Penn Branch (i.e. Branch
  • ATM +Street or Zip – Find closest William Penn ATM (i.e. ATM 19057)
  • CMD – A text message listing of all valid text banking commands


Note:  There is no charge for Mobile Banking however, message and data rates may apply.  Contact your mobile carrier for rate information.

Enroll Today

There are three ways to enroll in William Penn Mobile Banking (enrollment in Online Banking is required):

  • Search your mobile app store for “William Penn Bank Mobile Banking” and download the app.
  • Using your mobile device, click on the smart app drop down banner.   This will take users directly to their app store.
  • From our website, log in to Online Banking, click “Enroll Now” under Options, and follow the instructions. 


Important:  To report your cell phone lost or stolen, please contact Deposit Operations at 215-945-1200, or notify your local branch office.  You can also manage your device by logging into your internet banking account, select “Options”, “Manage Devices”, choose your cell phone and use the drop down menu to select “Stop using this device for mobile banking.”

Mobile Deposit – It’s a snap!

You’re busy.  Why not save a trip to the branch?   Deposit a check anytime using your mobile device!   Note:  To use this feature, you must be enrolled in William Penn Bank online and mobile banking.  

How to use Mobile Deposit

Simply launch the William Penn Mobile Banking app on your device and login to your account.
Select “DEPOSIT” and enter deposit details.
ENDORSE your check, include your account number, and add:  “for William Penn Bank Mobile Deposit Only” below your signature. 
Snap a photo of the front and back of the check.
CONFIRM the deposit.   Check is then processed electronically from start to finish.

What you need to know about Mobile Deposit

  • William Penn Bank will ONLY accept checks for deposit that are payable to YOU and drawn on a U.S. Bank.  We cannot accept checks that are:  payable to others; payable to a business; or drawn on the same account to which you are making a deposit.
  • We cannot accept:  Travelers checks, money orders, foreign checks, substitute checks or returned checks, post-dated or stale dated (more than 6 months old) checks.
  • You must endorse your check, include your account number, and add “for William Penn Bank Mobile Deposit Only” below your signature.
  • Mobile Deposit can only be used to deposit checks into your William Penn Bank checking and money market deposit accounts.
  • If you make your deposits before 4:00 p.m. EST, your funds may generally be available within the next two business days.  Please note, business days are Monday through Friday (Federal holidays are not considered a business day).
  • Holds are longer for new accounts. 
  • There may be times that the mobile deposit cutoff time may end earlier.  If so, any deposits pending will be retained until the next business day. 
  • All deposits are subject to verification and can be adjusted upon review. 
  • Review your deposit history for any deposits that have failed.
  • Please keep your paper check for thirty (30) days.
  • There are no fees for using mobile deposit.


What’s the status of my mobile deposit?

You can easily check the status of your mobile deposit from the mobile banking application.  Simply click on  “Check Deposit History”.    From here you can see if your deposit is accepted, pending, or failed and you can also view a copy of the check.   If your mobile deposit is rejected for any reason, we will contact you via email.

  • William Penn Bank will accept up to five (5) mobile deposits in one business day. 
  • Max dollar limit per day is $2,000.
  • Max dollar limit per item is $2,000.
  • Max number of deposits accepted per MONTH is twenty (20).
  • Max dollar limit per month is $20,000.
